Day 3
Observation
The sinfulness of man became so great that God prepared to sweep away humans in a judgment of water. He selected Noah, a righteous man with an unwavering faith in God, and commanded him to build a ship in which he and his family escaped the flood. Obediently. Noah begins the one-hundred-year task of constructing the ark. When the flood arrived on schedule, Noah and his family were preserved while the rest of humans perishes in its unbelief. Once again, mankind enjoyed a fresh start on the earth.
Application
God didn’t forget about Noah. That is significant because God’s memory isn’t like man’s, He hadn’t lost track of Noah during the flood or misplaced his timetable for Noah’s rescue. God never forgot Noah, and when it was time, he ended the flood and brought Noah safely to dry land. To say that God remembers is to say that he never forgets!
Just as God did not bring Noah into the middle of the flood only to forget about him, so he has not brought us to this point in our life merely to abandon us during our circumstances. God remembers us. Because God remembers us, let us remember Him by studying His word, giving Him glory and praying.
Prayer
Lord, thank you for giving us insight into how much you care for us that are trying to live righteously according to our reading today regarding Noah. Help us keep the faith during these perilous times and help us keep our mind stayed on You. In Your son’s Jesus name!
